​Jennifer LaRusso-Leung is energized and motivated by helping individuals reach their potential and realize their passions. She has extensive experience working with students and young professionals and has coached individuals at all points of their education and career.

In her most recent role as Director of Engagement at Lime Connect, a nonprofit rebranding disability through success, Jennifer advised students and young alumni with disabilities – visible and invisible – around the internship and career search process and prepared them for success. Jennifer is currently a Career Coach with Lime Connect, where she works with individuals to provide targeted coaching around important career decisions and the interview process.

Prior to her role at Lime Connect, Jennifer served as Associate Director of Admissions at Columbia Business School where she assessed applications and interviewed applicants. Earlier in her career, she worked in associate development and recruitment for a major corporate law firm. Jennifer is also a Master Consultant with The MBA Exchange and a Senior Consultant with Advance Admissions.

Jennifer received a bachelor's degree in History from Holy Cross and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. Jennifer lives in Brooklyn, NY with her husband and two children.



Alana Waisbrot is an experienced career coach with extensive experience in both higher education and the corporate world. In her most recent role as Associate Director of Career Education & Advising at Columbia Business School, she counseled MBA students on a range of career topics including self assessment, strategy planning, resume and cover letter review, interview preparation, and negotiation. She also delivered workshops on interviewing skills, resume writing and networking.

Before joining Columbia, Alana was at Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management, where she led the school's recruiting relationships with many leading organizations and oversaw the on-campus interview program. Prior to her roles in higher education, Alana spent several years on Wall Street as a Campus Recruiter at Lehman Brothers and in human resources at Citigroup.

In addition to being a coach for Competitive Edge, Alana currently consults for both Columbia Business School and NYU Stern School of Business, teaching interview courseand reviewing resumes. Alana volunteers her time at the JCC's Career Center and as a resume reviewer for Hiring our Heroes.

Alana graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with honors from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and completed Masters level coursework in Psychological Counseling at Teachers College-Columbia University. Alana lives in Port Washington, NY with her husband and daughter.
